How does it work?
A doctor or nurse injects doses of Botulinum Toxin A (commonly known as botox) into the underarm sweat glands. Botulinum Toxin temporarily blocks the nerve signal pathway between the brain and the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. When the sweat glands cannot receive these nerve signals, the severe sweating stops.
This inhibition is not permanent and requires maintenance treatments to sustain the result.
Can I have it done in just one armpit?
Is botulinum toxin dangerous?
Botulinum toxin is a naturally occurring protein found in the body. When administered in a small, controlled dose by a medically trained professional, botulinum toxin A is safe for cosmetic use.
How long does it last?
Botulinum toxin is slowly and naturally absorbed by the body over time. The longevity of treatment can vary depending on how fast your body processes this absorption. The average duration of our customers has been 6 – 9 months. After this you may want to book another treatment to effectively maintain your results.
